| One of my teachers says that my pointe shoes are too broken in but i feel like they are perfect! this happened before with another teacher too. How can you tell? Is it just when you can actually dance in your shoes that you should get new ones or what? And if i keep breaking in these pointe shoes so fast would split sole pointe shoes be better? What are the benefits of split soles? I'm pretty sure I don't break them in too much i only go to the point that they're bearable then I let class do the rest. |

| Are you breaking them in yourself? because if you are, you might be doing them too much. Make sure just to bend them slightly. But if your not breaking them in, and they break anyways, then try a harder shank. That will help you. You may like the split sole feel, but pointe is meant to be done up with a sole supporting you. I have never heard of split sole pointe shoes, but if you feel like wearing them, go ahead. but I think it would be better when you start doing faster and harder pointe things if you have a shoe with a shank that can suport your foot and arch and keep you "on your toes". good luck! :-) |
