this is a poem i made up to apologise for something really bad i done to him and he knows i regret it and he says its ok but i havent spoken to him for a while but today i gave him this,what would you think if you got this from your ex?


i dont want to stay here
for another year
i have to go and be free
even though theres no you and me
i will be sad
and still feel bad
for all i have done that i knew was wrong
but i just couldnt bare to be strong
i do not want to hurt you anymore
even though you made me so sore
after all those nights i cried
just believe me i tried
i did love you and still do
even though it wont show through
but you cant blame me for it all
as you were the one who made me fall
but it doesnt matter what you've done
as right now this is my turn
to tell you im sorry xx
no we havent spoken for a couple of weeks because he hasnt been on msn, i phoned him and he phoned me(different nights) but we havent actually had a proper conversation

You hurt him he says its ok because he just wants peace, give him the peace learn from your mistakes move on and grow, let him heal chances are hel take just take that as you trying to mess with his head (im not saying you are) dont send him anything else then one day he might have grown enough to have truly forgiven you hel probably want to be friends and get in touch and when he does you need to show him how much youve grown and learned, but dont say it (dont say anything to the effect of oooh id never do anything like that again) show him in your ways then theres a chance for you to have him in your life again but let him decide in which context. This may sound complex but your realationship sounds almost beyond repair. In any case if you care about him leave him alone for a while just let him heal.

"as you were the one who made me fall"

That line turns the whole poem upside down. You start off apologizing but then in at least two lines you blame him. If I were him I'd depends on how much he had to do with whatever happened. If I was all or mostly blameless I'd be rather insulted by those lines and it'd negate the whole apology. Actually the whole apology is negated by those two lines.

In most relationships it takes two to start it and two to end it. Rarely is it all one person or the others fault. When apologizing it's a really bad idea to point this out. It would be better for him to step forward and accept whatever culpability that might be there.

Most of the time but not always when you get back together all your doing is a repeat but with twice the anger, guilt and regret. Especially if trust was broken. It is really hard to win back somebodies trust. You'll feel like our in a cage pretty quickly. It can work, me and my ex-wife split up once for 4 or 5 months, then got back together for 3 or 4 happy years before it fell apart completely. We split up again and tried to get back together but that fell apart in a couple weeks. She is happy now I think, and I'm happy that she's happy. Never hated her just couldn't live with her. The key thing is no trust bonds were broken. So when we got back together there was no suspicion.

Had another ex attempt to get back with me but she broke my trust. I'll never be able to trust her again. So why would I put her and myself through that? Love is a powerful emotion, makes us do some really stupid things sometimes. However if you broke up there was a reason(s) and if you can't resolve that reason(s) before getting back together that reason will break you up again.

I'd think the fact you haven't spoken to him for a while says more about your relationship than the poem does. If he hasn't called, he doesn't want to know.
